9:54 AM Amazon (AMZN -0.4%) says it began shipping its Kindle Fire HD today, ahead of the previously-anticipated schedule from the company. Best Buy (BBY -0.2%) is the big box retailer getting the early jump, with Kindle Fire HD devices available for purchase by consumers starting tomorrow ahead of rivals Staples and Radio Shack that may have to wait a few weeks before stocking shelves.
