AAPL: The iPhone 5's supply constraints may be...

8:06 AM The iPhone 5's supply constraints may be diminishing, but the iPad Mini's are another matter. Apple (AAPL) still shows 2-week shipping times for the Mini, and Digitimes reports low yields for AU Optronics' (AUO) LCD panels could lead to only 6M Minis being shipped in calendar Q4, below Apple's target of 10M. Also, a Chinese paper claims Apple requested AU halt panel shipments due to a high defect rate. LG Display (LPL) is said to be taking up a greater share of Mini panel shipments due to AU's issues, but is also reportedly having trouble meeting demand for next-gen iMac panels.
