AAPL: More on Apple/Intel: Apple engineers have...

4:34 PM More on Apple/Intel: Apple engineers have "grown confident" their power-efficient ARM-based chips will eventually be powerful enough for Macs, sources tell Bloomberg. Also, hardware engineering chief Bob Mansfield is reportedly interested in creating a more uniform experience between iOS and Mac OS. However, Apple is deemed "unlikely to switch in the next few years." To make a full switch, Apple needs to guarantee backwards-compatibility for existing software, something Microsoft didn't do with Windows RT. ARM (ARMH +2.7%) rallied on the report.
