Is this evidence of a stronger focus on profitability, or simply an effort to encourage more third-party and/or e-book sales? 2) Analytics firm Deepfield estimates 14% of North American Internet users visit Amazon's site over a 24-hour period, compared with 8.8% for eBay and 2.3% for Wal-Mart. 3) Amazon is selling the Kindle Fire (non-HD) for just $129 in a Cyber Monday promotion.
