FTC Staff Said to Formally Recommend Google Lawsuit Over Patents

Yet another story out of Washington about the U.S. Federal Trade Commission staff's inclination to sue Google for antitrust violations came through today -- this time focused on patents. The agency is waiting to make its formal recommendation public until at least after the Nov. 6 presidential election, according to Bloomberg. This is separate from the FTC investigation into Google's allegedly unfair search rankings, though it has also been reported that the FTC is leaning toward bringing a case about conduct against the company before the end of the year. read more »

Freshplum is the start-up brainchild of Sam Odio, a former Facebook employee who left the company in 2011 to join Y Combinator and cultivate his idea for an e-commerce company.
