5:12 PM Google (GOOG) is now a "mobile first" company, company execs declared at an industry conference. They also claimed mobile searches have risen 200% thus far in 2012, and that 25% of YouTube's traffic and 40% of its views come from mobile devices (previous), up 300% Y/Y. Google announced last month mobile ads and Google Play are on a combined $8B/year run rate, but mobile search ad pricing remains a problem, as do the huge revenue-sharing payments that go to Apple for Mobile Safari traffic.
