AAPL: Qualcomm's device guidance may have been...

6:06 PM Qualcomm's device guidance may have been responsible for Apple's (AAPL -3.7%) selloff today, thinks Tero Kuittinen. Though Qualcomm left the midpoint of its 2012 3G/4G device shipment range unchanged at 905M, it lowered its forecast for developed markets by 15M (page 11 of earnings slides). Apple's unsubsidized pricing leaves it very dependent on developed markets - cheaper Android phones are dominating in cost-sensitive locales.
