Apple Now Well Below Consensus Price Target

The current consensus price target of the 60+ analysts that cover Apple (AAPL) is $763/share. With Apple currently trading below $550, the spread between the stock's actual price and its price target currently stands at -28.15%. Below is a historical chart of this spread going back to 2005. As shown, when the spread has gotten down to -30% or so over the past couple of years, the stock has bounced. Back in late 2008 and early 2009 during the financial crisis, however, the spread did get below 50%. read more »
