So let's see, what is there to talk about this weekend...

Well a big hurricane is coming up the Northeast corridor, threatening to knock down all of my awesome Halloween front yard display. That's a downer. Oh yeah, and Apple thinks people are going to shell out $330 for an iPad mini.

What the heck is Apple thinking? Their direct competitors (Kindle Fire and Nexus) are $130-200 cheaper. They're going to end up with a warehouse full of these things, right?

Reader 'Texacutioner' disagrees: "They priced it perfectly in an attempt to balance supply and demand for the holiday season while preserving their amazing profit margins. It will be the most sought after gift for Christmas."

Reader 'Harry Devli'n is apparently a psychic: "Very good move on pricing. You don't want to set a price that leaves money on the table. I predicted $329 months ago."

'Mike' however remains skeptical: "There were plenty of gasps when the price was announced and the silence from the people at the conference was comical."

I guess we'll see come this holiday season, provided we haven't all been blown away by Sandy (or the impending Mayan Doomsday).

What do you think? Was Apple spot on with their pricing? Are they off the mark? Share your thoughts!
