More Twitter Design Employees Depart

Twitter design team members Karina van Schaardenburg and Connor Sears have left the company, the two announced on Friday. Van Schaardenburg will leave to join Foursquare as the first user experience researcher, while Sears has announced no immediate future plans. The departures come on the heels of a recent series of design department exits, including Dave Gamache, who moved to Obvious corp, and Ian Ownbey, who now works at Branch. read more »

Social Games Company DeNA Names New Ngmoco CEO

Clive Downie, former VP of marketing at Electronic Arts, has been named CEO of mobile gaming company Ngmoco, parent company DeNA announced on Friday. Founder and former CEO Neil Young will continue to serve on DeNA's board of directors while he moves on to his "next adventure" with co-founder Bob Stevenson. read more »

Apple's new iPad mini went on sale earlier this morning and already preorders for the white version of the device are sold out in all capacities. As of this writing, the black iPad mini is still available for delivery on Nov. 2, the day it arrives in Apple's brick-and-mortar stores. Could supplies be constrained? Sure. But obviously the demand is there. Evidently, the premium Apple is charging for the tablet isn't putting off consumers, as some had predicted. As we said earlier this week, Apple doesn't need a $200 iPad mini. read more »
