GOOG: YouTube (GOOG) finally launches its paid...

3:59 PM YouTube (GOOG) finally launches its paid subscription channel service. Channel prices start at $0.99/month, and each subscription features a 14-day free trial and covers mobile/TV access. Initial channel providers include the UFC, Comedy.tv, National Geographic, and British show provider Acorn TV. Sesame Street plans to launch a channel featuring full episodes. For now, there isn't much content from cable/satellite network owners - some of them are reportedly interested in the service - or from top studios. Read comments
