9:12 AM Major retailers such as Wal-Mart (WMT) and Amazon (AMZN) continue to dabble with same-day deliver services in select markets while pondering the impact of a national rollout. Called by analysts the "Holy Grail" of online shopping, the concept is still a work in progress with margins and keeping customers satisfied major considerations. Also in the game: The United State Postal Service is playing around with same-day delivery of online orders in the San Francisco area, while UPS and FedEx look for a competitive advantage.
