MSFT: Microsoft (MSFT) provides a bit of holiday...

4:02 PM Microsoft (MSFT) provides a bit of holiday cheer for the struggling console gaming industry, announcing over 750K Xbox 360 units were sold last week, and that Xbox Live Gold subscriptions rose 50% Y/Y. The Xbox sales figure both exceeds Microsoft's internal forecasts, and the 400K Wii U units Nintendo (NTDOY.PK) has sold in the U.S. Strong initial sales for marquee games have already given industry observers some optimism.
