CWG is all set for a Grand Opening Today

After being hit by various scams and negative publicity in the last couple of months, CWG is all set for a grand start today and hoping to come past all the turbulence that hit CWG and it's organizing committee. The Opening Ceremony of Common Wealth Games 2010n will be held in Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium Delhi Today.

The Ceremony will commence at 1900 IST and will be a 2 hours program. As per tradition, Common Wealth Games would be inaugurated by Prince Charles amidst controversies on whether President Of India or Price Charles should inaugurate the event.

Sources said that CWG tickets have been already sold out but it is not yet confirmed. People are eagerly looking to book the ticket online but the link is down due to heavy traffic. It is possible that some tickets of Rs 25,000 and Rs 50,000 are still unsold if you are still looking for tickets to witness the first ever Common Wealth Games hosted by India.

The two-hour long CWG opening ceremony will start at 7.00 pm in the evening. The athletes from 71 participating countries will parade with their national flag. Australia will be the first team to start the flag march and India will be the last (As per the alphabet letter). Beijing Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra will be the flag bearer of India.
