Today, the Dow Jones Industrial Average surpassed its previous all-time intraday high of 14,198.1, set in October 2007. Since that previous high, we've been through a global financial crisis, a sovereign-debt crisis in Europe, a stimulus package in the U.S., the debt ceiling debate, and, most recently, sequestration cuts (just to name a few).
