The recent run-up in Amazon.com's (AMZN) stock price inspired me to revisit an old thorn in my side. AMZN is up 12.2% since the beginning of 2013, despite a very tough retail sales environment and despite the fact that California and some other States now collect what is known as "the Amazon tax."
