For years, Apple (AAPL) was held up as a sort of latter day Achilles: unbeatable, unstoppable, an avalanche of a company. Wall St. analysts were caught with their pants down when Apple's Q3 earnings blew past guidance and overcompensated by drastically raising their Q4 projections, despite conservative guidance.
