AOL: AOL (AOL +0.5%) is close to acquiring...

11:47 AM AOL (AOL +0.5%) is close to acquiring electronics review site gdgt (pronounced 'gadget'), TechCrunch reports. If the deal happens, gdgt would join a stable of tech-focused AOL properties that includes Engadget, TechCrunch, and Joystiq. It might also bring Engadget vets/gdgt founders Peter Rojas and Ryan Block back into the fold. Separately, AOL has sold online identity site About.me back to its founders, reportedly for a fraction of what AOL paid for it 2 years ago. Read comments
