AMZN: Amazon (AMZN) has launched its Redshift data...

2:00 PM Amazon (AMZN) has launched its Redshift data warehousing service for AWS, trademark aggressive pricing and all. Business intelligence software firms SAP, IBM, Microstrategy (MSTR +3.4% - up thanks to Qlik), and Actuate (BIRT +0.8%) are among the launch partners. Interestingly, so is Informatica (INFA +1.2%) - though Redshift represents competition for Informatica's data warehousing solutions, the company is offering a subscription-based Redshift connector. Informatica and Teradata (TDC +0.2%) sold off when Redshift was first announced. Read comments
