Microsoft Gets A Pass

On Thursday afternoon, Microsoft (MSFT) announced its fiscal first quarter earnings. On a non-GAAP basis, the company produced revenues and earnings that were much higher than expectations. However, if you exclude revenues and earnings deferred for the Windows Upgrade Offer, Windows 8 Pre-Sales, and the Office Offer, Microsoft's GAAP revenues and earnings missed.
