10:31 AM Sports Chalet is the latest retailer to jump into offering same-day delivery services, saying it will test a program to both sell and rent items from stores in the West. Though the same-day delivery concept is getting plenty crowded with ideas ranging from the use of lockers (AMZN), in-store pickup (ODP, HD), valets (EBAY), and even in the case of Wal-Mart (WMT) a potential trust-your-neighbor delivery service - widespread adoption still appears far away to retail analysts.
