GOOG: Google Now (GOOG +2.1%), beloved by many...

11:49 AM Google Now (GOOG +2.1%), beloved by many Android users for pushing info to users via time and location-sensitive "cards," has finally arrived on iOS, via Google's search apps for the OS. Though it (naturally) doesn't come with the widgets found in the Android version, the iOS version does support most of Now's other features, including personalized notifications (some more useful than others). The more Google gets iOS users to make searches via its search apps and Chrome browser, the more it can lower its huge traffic acquisition payments to Apple. Recently-discovered code suggests Google also plans to bring Now to its Web home page. Read comments
