A Colaba-based businessman, suspected to be henchman of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, handed over arms and explosives to the Lashkar e Tayiba terrorists for carrying out the attacks on Mumbai, in what is emerging as the first major joint operation by the Karachi-based gangster and the banned outfit, official sources said in Mumbai.
Ajmal Amin, the only terrorist arrested during the operation, told interrogators that the dozen ultras who sailed from Karachi had come to Sassoon Dock from where they were taken first to Cuff Parade and later to the Gateway of India in boats arranged by a frontman of Dawood, who runs several custom clearing houses in Mumbai, the sources claimed.
The Mumbai police and central security agencies have launched a massive manhunt for the businessman considered to be a henchman of Dawood, who has been listed as a global terrorist having links to the Al Qaeda by the United States.
The suspect looks after some customs clearing mechanism and also indulges in diesel smuggling for the underworld don, the sources claimed.
After getting into waiting boats arranged by Dawood's gang in Mumbai, arms, ammunition and plastic explosives were quickly transferred to the waiting boats that took the terrorists to the Gateway of India which was had been marked as the launching pad for the terror strike, the first of its kind in the country's terrorism history.It is in India's National interest to put Pressure on Pakistani Government to extradite Dawood as soon as possible.

Its common knowledge that he has tremendous clout in Bombay and many top politicians and cops are too close to risk him being caught alive. Dawood will be alive and continue to thrive till the ISI and our babu's need him and continue to get funded by him.

Everyone here and in mumerous blogs keep saying that India is not united and so that makes us a soft target for extremists. The question we have to ask oursleves is what can we do to be more united? How many of you are willing to marry your children off to familys from different religions. Hindus, even educated hindus refuse to marry to each other due to caste, language barriers that have been created. Unless we the citizens of the country started breaking down these barriers, things cannot change. I am a Hindu Brahmin and I hope to marry off all my children to Indians off different castes or religions. That is step 1. Step 2 make sure you are hiring people of all religions in your work place and giving everyone ample opportunity. This is not an overnight solution,but we can definitely do this.

If you have see the TV in last 3-4 days the way public where watching the whole incedent waying hands from behind the reporter to the camera as if there was a movie going on. For the public in India as long as it won't happen to there family friends its a good show to watch. If in this past 3-4 day we have the movies khans visiting the effected sites our public will be busy taking their autograps/photograps forgetting about the whole incedent.

ReplyDeleteI am an Indian is United States and I agree with Wajhi. Terrorism is a global problem and India alone is not affected by this. I am of the view that terrorism cannot be uprooted completely as it is not about convincing one person or one sect or one country. Think it this way... there are a bunch of destructive people who want to destroy things becoz of whatever reasons (past bad experiences, illiteracy, racism, brain washed whatever). Now you cannot go and educate each one of them to stop doing these types of things. STOP looking for who is behind this, why they are doing this, what is their future plans. Lets assume for a while that Bin Laden is behind this, he is doing it for fun and his future plan is to destroy mumbai sometime next month... WHAT WILL YOU DO.... I am saying... we cannot do anything.

- Make any type of this information public, instead of keeping it private with Hotel Management or a few senior officers. This would enable common man to be more prepared and watch for suspicious things.
- Be prepared and try to prevent the occurence and minimize the damage.
- Technology can play a very important role in this. I would like to call upon experts in this field who can contribute really well.
- I would say create robots that can substitute a commando and face the militant. Equip the robot with an infra-red camera, explosives etc., control its movement with a remote location and know the whereabouts of the militant. The max a militant will do is destroy the robot, we can still save a commando's life. Using X-rays we can look into a person's body ... why can't we extend this technology to look into a room. I know there are technologies that are being used on Airports to see if a person is carrying arms. Why not use the same. There are enormous possibilities but I don't know why there are not being used. We are sending missions to moon but are not able to control militants within 24 hours. I have more thoughts but how much to write here... Will post more....
Dawood is a third rated criminal now running like a stray dog from one safe house in Pak to another. Gone are his glorious Bombay days.. and that is why he is so jealous of those that still call the great city home.

ReplyDeletei believ 55 to 60 % of indian population is between the age group of 20 to 30 years. india is blessed with intelligence, honesty and determination in its young population. proof is the economic prosperity of the developed nations, all run by indians. the only thing we lack is sacrifice. we cannot sacrifice god job in MNC or in US , UK etc, we cannot sacrifice the dollors that we can earn, we cannot sacrifice the luxurious life that we can have. the day we learn to sacrifice these things we all can help our country in some way or the other. how?? by getting into politics, government jobs etc. now we do not aim to do that, why?? not good paid. or difficult to get into because the at the entrance there is a watchman who is not one of us or who do not think as one of us. the country is not going to improve unless the people incharge are changed. and this can only happen when we young guys who are truly capable or doing some thing for our country take up the oppurtunity.
we all can get things that we get by going abroad or working for an MNC, indian governament is capable of paying out huge salaries, we just have to get into it and change things.
68 years ago people of india (young, old, women and men)sacrificed every thing and foungt to get their country independent from British, i guess now we have to sacrifice everthing the goodies of life to get our country independent from the people in power who are uneducated, selfish, cowards.
I am not sure if attackin pakistan is the answer to the problem(though they deserve it).. lets look at it in a broader way.. We all know that terrorism is a reality and we should accept it...and prepare ourselves against it...we all know that we need to be united and face the enemy and defeat it however what is missing is the roadmap and how will we achieve it .. things like a dedicated more prudent and lethal intelligence agnecy... quick disastor recovery agency in all potential vulnerable places... latest weponary and infrastructure for our forces...and list is endless

Mr. Shan, dont be emotional, what do you think of America, do you think that they want en end to terrorism in India, no, not at all, they want an end to it in America only, just think, they had developed such a sattelites and equipments, they can trace anybody and any events in the world, but they have their own agenda that we should keep fighting and shouldnot improve and by this we should accept them as the big brother of the world and shouldnot get a permanant membership in the UN, ans Pak is also having an agenda of spoinling India, it is the major slogan for politicians to get power in their country, so America is helping them by giving lots of money, as eventhough they know where all money is going, today they are speaking little bit more because besides other Terrorist groups Pakistan started giving room to Taliban, which had became headache for them, Otherwise, still they would keep quite as acting knowing nothing. ReplyDeleteIndian leaders need to learn from Israeli leaders. They dont speak they just act immediately. If a rocket come from Gaza,into Israel, within next moment fighter plane attack in Gaza. Same like, Indian leaders should act immediatly if any thing carried out by Pakistanin in India.
