AAPL: Apple And Brazil's Growing Smartphone Market
Apple And Brazil's Growing Smartphone Market
by Sarfaraz A. Khan
Things do not seem to be working well for Apple (AAPL) in Brazil. The country's National Institute for Industrial Property has recently rejected Apple's claim to take up the iPhone name and register it. The country is looking to become the third-biggest smartphone market in the near future while Apple is one of the biggest players there. In this article, I examine Apple's case, the growing importance of Brazil's smartphone market and discuss the company's current stock, which has recently touched its 52-week lows. read more »

AAPL: Apple: Desperately Seeking Capitulation
Apple: Desperately Seeking Capitulation
by George Kesarios
I confess, I never imagined that Apple (AAPL) would correct so much. My best cast bear scenario was around $480, but even then, I imagined the stock would rally again close to the $700 mark. Well as it turned out, the stock took out $480 on the charts and never looked back. Apart from a small 10% rally, the stock has been all downhill from there. read more »

AAPL: For Apple, No News Is Bad News
For Apple, No News Is Bad News
by Markos Kaminis
There's a common saying that "no news is good news," which forebodes of the potential for bad news arriving in certain circumstances. However, in Apple's case, investors have anxiously awaited the good news of a new product introduction. Instead, the news emanating from Apple (AAPL) has tended to tell of its shares falling another several dollars. The drop from $705 has been precipitous, and it has marked a dry spell in the company's modern innovative history. The company which had become known for surprising investors with disruptive technology suddenly has investors questioning whether it can do so anymore. With each passing day, as corporate events bore shareholders and industry conferences disappoint investors, the shares soften. This indeed is a period in which no news is bad news for Apple. read more »
