AAPL: Apple: Desperately Seeking Capitulation

Apple: Desperately Seeking Capitulation
by George Kesarios

I confess, I never imagined that Apple (AAPL) would correct so much. My best cast bear scenario was around $480, but even then, I imagined the stock would rally again close to the $700 mark. Well as it turned out, the stock took out $480 on the charts and never looked back. Apart from a small 10% rally, the stock has been all downhill from there. read more »

AAPL: For Apple, No News Is Bad News

For Apple, No News Is Bad News
by Markos Kaminis

There's a common saying that "no news is good news," which forebodes of the potential for bad news arriving in certain circumstances. However, in Apple's case, investors have anxiously awaited the good news of a new product introduction. Instead, the news emanating from Apple (AAPL) has tended to tell of its shares falling another several dollars. The drop from $705 has been precipitous, and it has marked a dry spell in the company's modern innovative history. The company which had become known for surprising investors with disruptive technology suddenly has investors questioning whether it can do so anymore. With each passing day, as corporate events bore shareholders and industry conferences disappoint investors, the shares soften. This indeed is a period in which no news is bad news for Apple. read more »

At Yahoo, 6 Months And $1 Million Later, Marissa Mayer Needs To Get To The Point
by Onuora Amobi

I was extremely happy when Yahoo (YHOO) announced the appointment of Marissa Mayer to the top post of CEO. She was a clearly a very capable candidate for the job and coming from Google (GOOG), seemed to have just the right type of experience to lead a search engine company. read more »

AAPL: Intel (INTC) has held talks with Apple (AAPL)...

9:38 AM Intel (INTC) has held talks with Apple (AAPL) about manufacturing its (ARM-based) A-series mobile processors, a "source close to one of the companies" tells Reuters. The rumor comes shortly after Intel landed Altera as a client, and a report it had landed Cisco. Intel's manufacturing process edge - while TSMC/Samsung are at 28nm, Intel is at 22nm - could appeal to Apple. Reports have been around for a while that Apple is thinking of using its A-series chips in Macs, instead of Intel CPUs. Read comments

Apple: Learn From Andy Zaky's Mistake
by Ashraf Eassa

It is my belief that excessive bullishness on Apple (AAPL) has destroyed a number of retail investors' portfolios. When I first started reading Seeking Alpha, I noticed extreme, almost worrying bullishness. It wasn't just that people were bullish, but it was that nearly everybody was bullish. Any author that even thought about writing a non-positive article about the stock was subjected to one of the following: read more »
