5:24 PM More on Google: BI reports Google is close to buying Wavii, developer of a news summarization app that bears some resemblance to Yahoo-acquired Summly, for a price below $30M. Between Yahoo/Summly and LinkedIn's purchase of Pulse, M&A activity in the mobile reader app space has heated up lately. Google reportedly once tried to acquire Flipboard, the top dog in this space; it ended up launching Flipboard alternative Currents, which has seen modest success. Read comments
