4:04 PM Google (GOOG) plans to open its own retail stores ahead of the holidays this year, reports 9to5Google, citing "an extremely reliable source." The company already has hundreds of  stores within Best Buys (BBY), but this far-broader idea came into focus when Google began thinking about how to sell Google Glass without giving the public a place to try it out.
