MSFT: Though its FQ2 report was nothing to write...

12:52 PM Though its FQ2 report was nothing to write home about, Microsoft (MSFT +0.9%) is up slightly the day after. Some are encouraged by the solid performance of Server & Tools, and there's even a bit of cautious optimism about Windows. "There are signs that the worst may be behind the company," writes Citi's Walter Pritchard, arguing plateauing 10" iPad sales, the spread of touch-enabled PCs, Intel's Haswell CPU launch, and a fall Win. 8 update could allow consumer Windows sales to bottom in FQ4.
