GOOG: Google (GOOG -1.1%) is investing £650M...

2:04 PM Google (GOOG -1.1%) is investing £650M ($1.03B) to build and develop a new British HQ in central London, Reuters reports. One sources thinks the 2.4-acre facility could be worth £1B ($1.59B) when finished in 2016. Google is no stranger to making big real estate purchases: two years ago, the search giant spent $1.9B to acquire 111 8th Ave., a huge NYC data center hosting site/office building. Read comments
