2:39 PM Apple (AAPL -1%) now has a smartphone share of 55% in the U.S. (one of its strongest markets) and just 4% in emerging markets, estimates Gene Munster. The U.S. figure might represent a seasonal high due to the iPhone 5 launch. Regardless, the emerging markets figure leads Munster to think a $200 unsubsidized iPhone could arrive by 2014 - the iPhone 4, currently Apple's cheapest model, goes for $450 unlocked. He also sees Apple refreshing the iPhone twice a year by 2015 thanks to the frequency of Android launches. (IDC data) (Read the comments on this)
