Square Expands Payments Service to Canada

Square said it was going to launch internationally by the end of the year, and today it announced that its payments service is also available in Canada. Just like in the U.S., Square's card reader for Android and Apple devices is free, and it charges 2.75 percent per swipe. In September, Square closed a $200 million round of funding to help it expand internationally, so you can bet there are more markets coming. read more »
